Madeline Chimento Rea


Madeline Chimento is a member of the Labor & Employment Law Department and focuses her practice on class actions and complex ERISA litigation. She defends financial service providers, Fortune 500 corporations, hospitals, plan sponsors, plan trustees and other plan fiduciaries in lawsuits involving breach of fiduciary duty claims, stock drop claims, church plan claims, benefit denials and plan investment losses. Outside of the ERISA context, Madeline defends employers against wage and hour claims.

Madeline has authored several articles in the ERISA and class action litigation fields for BNA Insights, and serves as a contributing author to Bloomberg BNA’s ERISA Litigation Book. She is also a frequent contributor to the Firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Blog and ERISA Litigation Newsletter. Madeline graduated first in her law school class at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. In addition, she is a co-chair of the “Employment Discrimination and Employee Benefits” chapter of the ABA Labor & Employment Section's Employee Benefits Law.
