Changes to the VETS-100A report proposed by the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (“VETS”) earlier this year were approved and were published in the Federal Register last week.  The Final Rule revises regulations implementing reporting requirements under the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, as amended (“VEVRAA”).  The new rule will apply to reports filed in 2015.

The Final Rule changes the name of the report from VETS-100A to VETS-4212.  The VETS-4212 report will not require contractors to report on protected veteran status by specific category.  The new report will require that contractors report the number of protected veterans employed and hired in the aggregate.  Additional details regarding the Rule can be found here.
